Qualifying for these championships will be based on each player’s best score in the first four individual tournaments (April 6, April 20, May 5, May 19) as follows:

• Handicap Competition: the 32 players with the lowest net scores will be entered into a draw.
• A Scratch Club Championship: last year’s Club Champion (Bob Andrasick) along with the next lowest 15 gross scores with Met Handicap Indexes below 13.0 as of the June 1st Revision will qualify and be set up in brackets seeded 2-16.
• B Scratch Club Championship: the 16 players with the lowest gross scores with Met Handicap Indexes above 13.0 as of the June 1st Revision will qualify and be set up in brackets seeded 1-16.

One final and IMPORTANT note!!! I will be forwarding more information as it pertains to the deadlines that individual competitions need to be met, round by round. Last year we experienced several players going beyond the deadline due to lack of ability to play. This resulted in competitions completing far too late in the season. We plan on taking a much more aggressive stance this year as it relates to deadlines.  Therefore, if you want to play in these competitions you must abide by the deadlines. We will be disqualifying players who make themselves unavailable to play. If you want to play in these tournaments, you MUST be willing to play at BOTH locations (Links, SR, PB)!!!

Today is the FINAL DEADLINE to sign up for our first Individual Stroke Play Tournament this Saturday, April 6th, at Split Rock beginning at 8:36 AM. It looks to be a great forecast for weather at 55 degrees and sunny with zero percentage for rain. We have 22 signed up so and sill have 10 more spots available so please respond now if you want to play. I will be calling in the final tally to Split Rock early tomorrow morning. Thanks to everyone for bringing the correct $ 62.00 change this past weekend (greens fee $ 52.00 / prize fund $ 10.00). It really helps us out! Please try to do this again this Saturday. This is a follow up to the below e-mail that I had sent on Saturday. Tomorrow is the Final Deadline to sign up for our first tournament this Saturday, March 30th, at Pelham Bay. This is a 2 Ball Scramble to you need a partner. If you don’t have a partner just let me know and I will try to set you up with another single. We are getting a very good response to this tournament so don’t wait to enter since we only have 8 reserved spots.
