2014 Masters Tickets

The Masters Tournament is pleased to announce that the 2014 ticket application for Practice Rounds and Daily Tournament tickets is now available at Masters.com. These tickets will be awarded by random selection after the designated deadline dates.
As in the past, only one application per person or address will be accepted (one per household) and all applicants must be 21 years or older.

TEE TIMES… For Woodlawn Golf Tournament this Sunday, May 5th at Split Rock (7:48 AM)

Hi Fellow Woodlawn Members,

Thanks to everyone for getting to me on time to sign up! We have a FULL HOUSE of 8 foursomes, the maximum amount we normally reserve.

Attached are the tee times for the tournament this Sunday, May 5th, at Split Rock beginning at 7:48 AM. Please be sure to sign in with me no later than 30 minutes prior to your tee time. Also, please bring exact change of $ 62.00 ($ 52.00 greens fee / $10.00 prize fund) so that we process quickly. Guests are allowed to compete for the three closest to the pins and one long drive if they pay the $ 10.00 prize fund, but they can’t compete for the other tournament awards.

Looks like it will be a brilliant day with clear skies and 70 degree day.

LAST CALL!!! To Sign Up For Woodlawn Golf Tournament this Sunday, May 5th at Split Rock (7:48 AM)

Hi,

This is a final reminder that TODAY is the deadline to sign up for this weekend’s tournament on Sunday, May 5th, on Split Rock beginning at 7:48 AM. Stroke Play Event. Please bring $ 62.00 if possible to make our lives easier. ($ 52.00 greens fee, $ 10.00 prize fund). Also, if you have not paid your annual dues, please bring a check made out to The Woodlawn Golf Club in the amount of $ 200.00.

Sunday should be a great day for golf as the weather is expected to be sunny and almost 70 degrees. Quite a change from our first tournament on April 6th! One other reminder is that we have the Partners Qualifying Event at the Links on Sunday, May 19th. So work on getting a partner as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT UPCOMING SCHEDULING NOTES!!!

Our next tournament will be on Sunday, May 5th at Split Rock beginning at 7:48 AM. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, April 30th. I will send reminders by e-mail again.

Finally, please note that we will have the Qualification for The Partners Competition at the Links on Sunday, May 19th. Get your partners selected asap. The low 8 Partners Scores will qualify for the Partners Competition thereafter. The team with the low score of that day will also be entered MGA Met – Net Team Competition.

Schedule for Championships!!

After the fourth individual tournament of the season which is May 19th at the Links, the following tournaments will be be set as follows:

Handicap Competition: the 32 players with the lowest net scores will be entered into a draw.

A Scratch Club Championship: last year’s Club Champion (Bob Andrasick) along with the next lowest 15 gross scores with Met Handicap Indexes below 13.0 as of the June 1st Revision will qualify and be set up in brackets seeded 2-16.

B Scratch Club Championship: the 16 players with the lowest gross scores with Met Handicap Indexes above 13.0 as of the June 1st Revision will qualify and be set up in brackets seeded 1-16.

Partners Competition: the qualifying round of the Partners as noted above will be played at the Links on Sunday, May 19th. The teams will play of a best ball basis. Each player plays his own ball and the best net score of the 2 is the Partners’ score. The low 8 scores will qualify for the Partners Competition.

One final and IMPORTANT note!!! I will be forwarding more information as it pertains to the deadlines that individual competitions need to be met, round by round. Last year we experienced several players going beyond the deadline due to lack of ability to play. This resulted in competitions completing far too late in the season. We plan on taking a much more aggressive stance this year as it relates to deadlines. Therefore, if you want to play in these competitions you must abide by the deadlines. We will be disqualifying players who make themselves unavailable to play. If you want to play in these tournaments, you MUST be willing to play at BOTH locations (Links, SR, PB)!!!
