Congratulation to all eight qualifying teams for the Partner Championship. A score of net 66 was needed to qualify with the team of Brendan Flynn and Tom O’Meara grabbing the top seed with a net 61. The full draw can be found on the Championships tab. Please note that the first round should be completed by July 6th.

The forecast is for the rain to exit the area overnight and both tomorrow and Sunday should be very nice. Sunday’s expected high at the Links is 71 degrees with 7-9 mph winds.

Again, a reminder that there will be a brief meeting on the back patio at 10 AM Sunday…..the partner’s event serves as both a qualifier for the Woodlawn Partners and for the MGA Four-Ball Championship ($20 per team entry fee, optional to participate). Good luck to all!

Due to a strong sign-up for Sunday, I asked the Links for additional tee times and we were granted 11:12 and 11:21. So please note that our first tee time has been changed to 11:12.

We are now at 40 players for Sunday, and will not be able to accommodate additional interest, as things now stand. I have 19 two-man teams and two singles

There is still a 25 minute club meeting commencing at 10AM to tend to normal club business. It is not the AGM and there will not be time for extensive Q&A time. Players can check in with me at the meeting and submit their $10 per player entry fee for the day. There is also a $20 per team entry fee for the MGA team championship. The low team on the day will qualify for that, if they have entered beforehand.

Please pay attention to this: each fourball is expected to keep two cards, one for the individual scores ( gross and net) and one for the team best-ball and b-b net. If you submit one incoherently scribbled card, all marked up and illegible, it will be tossed out. And please mark an X if a hole was not finished, and make that X easily visible to your committee.

Again I ask that everyone please check in at least 40 minutes before your tee time. If we have already finished checking in members and you are late to arrive, please seek me, Pat Lafferty, or Tom Tuffy out to pay the entry fee. It is not our job to chase you down.

This is a qualifying event for the partners, top 8 teams qualify.
It is also the final stroke play individual qualifier and a regular tournament.
So there is no misunderstanding, there will be a cash prize to the low team, and regular prizes for individual play. The post-season dinner award for the day goes to the
individual low net winner,.

Here are the members who have signed up for Sunday’s tournament to date. First listed are members who have given me the name of a partner that they will paired with. After that are listed individuals who are still sitting in the bleachers and need a dance partner. So if you are looking for a partner, reach out to one of these guys….. Note that this is also an individual stroke play event and the final opportunity to qualify for the handicap, club championship, and "B" Scratch. New members are eligible to play for the Club Championship, but not tournaments with a handicap component in their first year (e.g. the Partner’s). Also, there will be a Club meeting at 10 AM on the member’s patio to address on-going Woodlawn business and to swear in new members.

We will be having a meeting of the club before our next tournament on Sunday, May 18th. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00 AM so that we give people time to warm up before the tournament starts. One of the primary pieces of business to cover is the swearing in of new members, so we ask that those new members please make every effort to be there. Due to the desire to move the meeting along quickly, we ask that if you have a topic that you would like discussed at the meeting to please email me (j.omeara@inneradv.com) with that topic so we can add it to the agenda beforehand.
