Congratulations on Kieran Brosnan who won his second Handicap Championship, this time over Pat Lafferty
Congratulations to Bill Marshall who got past Pat Costigan in the final to win the B Scratch Championship.
Congratulations to Bob Andrasick on winning his 5th consecutive Club Championship. He also avenged his only loss in that competition (in 2010) by nipping Tom Bennett on the 36th hole.
From: THIERRY ELIAS

In the past, the final tournament of the year was traditionally a two-man scramble. Part of the reason for that was we used to hold that event at Split Rock and the course conditions at this point in the year made it difficult to find balls anywhere other than the fairway. With the Links being in pristine condition, and a favorable forecast for the coming weekend, there is no need to do that. Therefore, the final event of the year will still be a two man event, but rather than a scramble, it will be a better ball event. So if you have a partner for this tournament, please let me know when you sign up. If you want to play but don’t have a partner, I will pair you with another single. The sign-up deadline is Friday morning at 10AM. ….Jim

I want to thank the hardy souls who played yesterday despite a gloomy forecast from the Weather Service. The rain pretty much stopped as we arrived at SR and the forecast gale-force winds were nothing of the sort. The bonus was the course was ours alone as we went out.
To the action, my fourball witnessed a virtuoso display of chipping and putting from the winner, Tom O’Meara. Without further ado, here are the results:
Ist Tom O’Meara 82 off 14 net 68
2nd On a tie with Don Courtman, Jim Gilland 81 ( won tie-breaker with 37 on back nine) off 10 net 71
CTP 12 Pat Costigan CTP 16 Steve McCrimlisk LD 17 Jim Murphy
