This is a final reminder that today is the deadline to sign up for the Woodlawn Tournament this Saturday at the Links beginning at 11:00 AM. Once I receive the final list of participants, I will organize the matches, and send out the tee times again in advance.

The Woodlawn Golf Club offer our sincerest sympathies to the family of Kathleen Doherty. Kathleen is survived by her children, Denis, Sean and Ann and her husband John. John Doherty has been a member of the Woodlawn Golf Club for over 40 years.

Kathleen is being waked today – August 10 – from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at F. Ruggiero & Sons, 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers.

Congratulations to 2012 President’s Prize winner Dominic Mulligan who triumphed with a net 68 yesterday .  Complete report posted in Results page.  The Championships page has also been updated with a few match results. Next tournament is Aug. 5th at Pelham. Please sign up by Tuesday, July 31st.

Tuesday, July 17th is the deadline to sign up for the next tournament at the Links on Sunday, July 22nd beginning at 11:30. Please note that this is also the President’s Prize Tournament. It will be a Stroke Play event. For those who have yet to compete in their respective first round matches in the various tournaments, we will likely need to disqualify you if you are not able to play in this tournament to keep things moving.
