The awards dance will be held on Saturday, November 17th in the Manhattan Room of Rosie O’Grady’s (800 7th Ave., corner of 52nd St.). Cocktail hour starts at 8:00 PM. There is no charge for members, guests are $85. It is important that we confirm how many people we will have at the event. Please contact Tom O’Meara (917-299-2249 or 914-376-6052) as soon as possible to confirm whether you will be attending or if you will definitely not be attending.

The pairings have been set for the Club Championship, Partners Championship and Handicap Championship. Of course, Stephen Carey and Bob Wallace already completed the B Flight. Good luck to all competitors remaining and the complete brackets can be found in the Championships page.

This will be a SHOTGUN start promptly at 10:00 AM, so everyone MUST show up and sign in with their $ 10.00 prize fund no later than 9:30 am to give everyone a chance to warm up. This is a Stableford Event.

I will be sending out the tee times later this week as normal.

We had a great day yesterday at the Links, although a bit windy and very hard to play. We only have two events left on Sunday, October, 28th, and Saturday, November 3rd, both of which are shotgun events starting at 10 AM. The formats are Stableford on the 28th, and then the season ending 2 Ball Scramble on the 3rd.

This is to remind everyone that the DEADLINE to sign up for this weekend’s event on Sunday is tomorrow. Since we are at the end of our schedule, it is critically important to show up if you are in the remaining  championship categories. Failure to do so will likely result in a disqualification, so “heads up” is the word!!!!

For all others, it will be a Stroke Play event beginning at 11:30 am. As usual, once I receive all the final names tomorrow who want to play, I will set up competitions and respective tee times and forward to everyone in advance.

Winner of the 2012 Woodlawn Golf Club’s “B” Championship. The completed bracket can be found on the Championships page.

We only have 3 tournaments remaining in the season, all at the Links. They are on October 14th, October 28th, and November 3rd. It is important that the golfers remaining in the various competitions show up to play to get these done, or better still, contact your opponent to see if you can play at an earlier date. If you do, just contact me with the final results as soon as they are played.  The worst scenario now is with the Partners Matches since the Andrasick-Lynch / Murphy-Wallace match has still yet to be played even though the deadline was a long time ago. This match needs to get played on the next event, or preferably sooner.

Here’s where we stand with all of the remaining matches.

A Scratch:

Dean Marraccini is in the Final, and waiting to play the winner of the Bob Andrasick vs. Tom Bennett Semi-Final match.

B Scratch:

Stephen Carey and Bobby Wallace have played their first 18 holes in the Final, and have one more round to play in their 36 hole match.

Handicap:

Kieran Breen is in the Semi Final waiting to play the winner of the Marraccini / Brosnan match.

These matches are behind schedule. Please try to contact your opponent to try and set up a time to play in advance of the next tournament if possible.

Gerry Murphy-Bobby Wallace MUST play Bob Andrasick-Pat Lynch (way past due), with the winners then playing the Steve McCrimlisk-Stephen Carey team.

Jimmy Murphy-Thierry Elias team plays Pat Costigan-Phil O’Meara team.

Again, all of these matches are far behind schedule. If possible, set up matches for this coming weekend and get them played before the next Woodlawn Event on October 14th.
