This is the LAST CALL to sign up for the tournament this Sunday, July 7th, at Split Rock beginning at 7:16 AM. We are getting another great turnout with 27 golfers signed up thus far, and only have 32 spots reserved. I can’t promise that we will be able to get any additional spots beyond 32. If I can’t, then the first 5 to respond to this e-mail will be in.

Two important notes here!!!

First, this is a reminder that tomorrow, July 2nd, is the deadline to sign up for this weekend’s stroke play event at Split Rock beginning at 7:16 AM. If anyone has competed in a match since our last event of June 15th, please send me those results BEFORE I try to set up matches Wednesday morning.

If you think that you have signed up already, please double check that you are on the list below. It’s been a few weeks so I don’t want to miss anyone’s note. Those who I have signed up thus far are:

Second, and more important, is to inform you that Seamus Finnerty was rushed to the hospital this past weekend to treat some blood clots. He is doing much better now. He will be released either tomorrow or Wednesday from the hospital. If you would like to visit him he’d love seeing you. Visiting hours are from 11am-8:30 pm. He is registered under the name James Finnerty. His wife Betsy’s cell number is 914-325-5679. The phone number of the Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville is 914-787-1000. Seamus is in room 401. Our next tournament is on Sunday, July 7th, at Split Rock beginning at 7:16 am. For those of you who have not played your first round matches yet, keep in mind that July 7th is the deadline to do so. There are several players who have not played yet. If you won’t be at this tournament, I encourage you to try and set something up with your opponent on a day prior to that deadline. The deadline to sign up for this event is Tuesday, July 2nd. If you need to contact a certain member you can find their contact information on the Contact page. The brackets are on the Championships page for you to see who you have to play.

The Championships page has been updated with the results of all matches played through this weekend. Please make sure you play remaining matches by the deadline.

Gerry Sherry posted a net 68 to take Saturday’s tournament at The Links. Full tournament report in the Results page.

Hi, this is a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11th, is the deadline to sign up for the next Woodlawn Tournament this Saturday, June 15th, at the Links. Again, for those of you who had not come to play on June 2nd and were not able to compete in the matches, along with those who did and have other matches to compete in, need to look at the various matches you have left to meet the first deadline which is July 7th. We will be keeping a much stricter tight line on these deadlines this year to make sure that the matches are moving along. Therefore, I encourage you to contact your opponents and try to set up matches over the two remaining tournaments (6/15 + 7/7) in order to get your matches played in time so that you not subject to disqualification. You can find all the competition brackets on our site @ www.woodlawngolfclub.com.

If you have contacted your opponent to schedule a match, let me know when you sign up. If not, I will go ahead and set up matches based upon who signs up by tomorrow. I will send out the tee time sheets as normal at the end of the week.
